BPG Secures High Profile Leases at Concord Office Complex
The State of California’s Dept. of Rehabilitation and Premier Workspaces have signed an eight and 10-year lease respectively totaling 22,000-square-feet at Barker Pacific Group’s (BPG) Sutter Square office complex in downtown Concord, CA. The leases raise the property’s occupancy to 80% in a struggling office market.
“We’re focusing on making services and amenities to appeal to current and future tenants,” said BPG’s Michael Barker. “Adding Premier Workspaces will help attract startup businesses who will grow into larger spaces available throughout Sutter Square.”
The building is located three blocks from Concord BART on Sutter Street. The nine-floor, 177,000-square-foot property was acquired by BPG and JV Partner Iron Point Partners in 2020, and has undergone strategic renovations since the purchase. CBRE represented the State of California in their lease while US Realty Group represented Premier Workspaces. Scott Ellis, Eric Erickson and Matt Hurd of Colliers manage the leasing efforts for Sutter Square.
