Boyd Plans $96M Hamlin West MF in Orlando
Orlando-based Boyd Development Corp. proposed development of Hamlin West, a 11-building multifamily project in west Orange County that could cost $96.2 million to build. The 22.6-acre site at 6301 Avalon Rd. in Orlando is envisioned for 496 apartments that front a lake and park, as well as State Road 429.
The project will feature three clubhouses, a pool and a dog-washing station. The Hamlin West apartment project is within a 250-acre development in the 1,000-acre, mixed-use Hamlin community in Horizon West. The developer anticipates commencing construction on the Hamlin West project Q1 2021.
Boyd’s Ken Kupp told the Orlando Business Journal, “[The nearby Hamlin Town Center], excellent freeway access and new, A-rated schools have driven demand for all housing in this part of the county, not just multifamily.”
