Boutique Hotel Planned for Buffalo’s Delaware District
Noel Sutton has proposed converting an early 1900’s mansion, which is now an office, into a nine-room boutique hotel. Sutton has the property, located at 1296 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo, NY, under contract. The 5,622-square-foot building was listed for $475,000 by Hastings Cohn Real Estate.
Sutton has filed documents with the Buffalo Zoning Board of Appeals, which will consider the request during its Feb. 15 meeting. The Buffalo Planning Board is expected to review the proposal on Feb. 27. If approved and built, the property would join other boutique hotels and bed-and-breakfast properties that make up Buffalo’s Elmwood Village and Delaware District.
