Work Begins on Boulder-Area Life Sciences Campus

Sterling Bay is developing a 2.5 million-square-foot life sciences campus in Louisville that will include several asset classes, all linked by the life sciences theme. The Colorado Real Estate Journal reports that on 400 acres, Sterling and contractor Mortenson will build different elements that will include research and development, biomanufacturing, office, retail, industrial and health care delivery. Advent Health Avista is building a 160-bed hospital.

The Louisville City Council approved the project last year, authorizing $88 million in General Obligation Bonds to build it.

The campus will have ample amenities, such as a full fitness center, a 20-mile walking trail and large conference spaces.

On its website, Sterling Bay says it dreams up lab space that’s adaptable to every stage of the journey and packed with amenities to inspire innovation along the way. It also puts an innovative spin on its tried-and-true, design-driven method of developing next-gen lab space.
