Boot Maker Spending $72.6M on FW Expansion

Boot maker and western wear manufacturer, Ariat International Inc., is growing. The company is expanding its headquarters office at 15201 Blue Mound Road and constructing a new distribution center nearby. The costs of both projects adds up to $72.6 million. New job numbers for both projects are expected to exceed 250 workers.

The Dallas Business Journal reports that Ariat is in line to receive grants from the city if it spends a minimum of $6.9 million on construction on phase one and a minimum of $19.9 million on phase two before the end of 2027.

The company also must install at least $2 million in equipment in the first phase and $43.8 million in phase two of the project by 2028. Ariat will also have to maintain a minimum of 100 full-time jobs by 2030 with average annual salaries of $95,000 and 150 jobs by 2032 with average annual salaries of $70,000.

Ariat established its 1 million-square-foot regional distribution hub and office in Fort Worth in 2020.
