Booming Bastrop home to new Everhome Suites Hotel

Booming Bastrop Lands Choice Hotel Brand

It is now, or soon will be home to sizable employers like SpaceX, Boring Co. and a sizable movie studio expected to hire 550 people. Bastrop is becoming a real option for hospitality operators.

Work is underway on the new extended-stay Choice-branded Everhome Suites hotel in booming Bastrop. EBCO is building the $13 million hotel, which will be across from Ascension Seton Bastrop Hospital. The 114-room hotel is slated to be four stories and about 58,000 square feet. Amenities include fully-equipped kitchens, spa-style bathrooms, large closets and pet-friendly options.

Meanwhile, Bastrop has been experiencing strong growth. Its population has boomed over the past decade, rising from 74,171 in 2010 to 106,188 in July 2022.

Grocer H-E-B is planning a $28 million expansion to its store at 105 Hasler Blvd., while LS Electric Co., a South Korean-based company in the Samsung supply chain, purchased a 40,000-square-foot factory in the city last summer.
