Boeing Lands in Plano’s Legacy West

April 6, 2017

Boeing selected Plano, TX for the headquarters of its new Global Services business unit, which is slated to be operational in July. Located in The Karahan Companies’ Legacy West mixed-use development in West Plano, the facility will serve as a central hub for approximately 20,000 global employees.

The company said it selected the greater Dallas area for the operations because it’s centrally located within Boeing’s U.S. footprint, is close to its commercial customers and defense partners, and serves as a transportation hub so it can easily and efficiently reach customers.

The $3.2-billion, 255-acre Legacy West project is located at the Dallas North Tollway and State Highway 121. The project includes 325,000 square feet of office, and 415,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Corporate neighbors at Legacy West include North American HQs of Toyota and FedEx Office, as well as regional HQs for JP Morgan Chase and Liberty Mutual.
