BMO Opens U.S. Headquarters Tower in Chicago’s West Loop

BMO Financial Group cut the ribbon Friday on BMO Tower, its new U.S. headquarters. Developed by Riverside Investment & Development, the 50-story building is located at 320 S Canal St., in Chicago’s West Loop Gate neighborhood.

“BMO Tower represents a major investment by BMO in Chicago,” said David Casper, U.S. CEO, BMO Financial Group. “We’re the largest bank in the world that has its U.S. headquarters in Chicago, a market in which we have a long, proud history of over 160 years.”

More than 3,000 employees will be based at BMO Tower, which at more than 700 feet is the tallest officer tower west of Canal Street. It was designed to achieve WELL Building Platinum and LEED Gold standards, incorporating technology to maximize occupant health, mitigate risk related to harmful environmental factors and enhance operational efficiency. The main floor of the tower features a technology-enabled BMO branch.
