BLVD Group Acquires Providence Affordable in Off-Market Deal

The BLVD Group, a developer and operator of affordable and workforce housing communities, recently acquired Williams Woods Apartments, a 65-unit affordable housing property located approximately 2.5 miles south of downtown Providence, RI. The seller was WinnCompanies, which traded the property in an off-market deal for an undisclosed amount. WinnResidential will continue property management.

The deal marks BLVD’s third property investment in Providence and fifth in Rhode Island. Built in 2006 and financed through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program, Williams Woods Apartments offers a mix of two- and three-bedroom townhome-style units spanning 76,671 rentable square feet.

“This acquisition represents an exciting addition to BLVD’s growing portfolio of affordable and workforce housing communities,” said Rob Budman, managing principal at BLVD. “We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Providence and continue our mission of preserving and enhancing high-quality, sustainable housing options for families in need.”
