Brittney Aplin, one of the owners of Bluewater Seafood, leased 5,500 square feet of retail space to launch the first Captain Brad’s Coastal Kitchen. The restaurant will be in the new Northpointe Shopping Center at 24435 Tomball Pkwy. in Tomball, TX. A location for a second Captain Brad’s is in the works.

The restaurant is named after Brad Aplin, a third-generation commercial fisherman, who opened the first Bluewater Seafood restaurant in 1996. Brad Aplin passed away in May 2017, following a 19-month battle with cancer.

Brett Levinson and Walker Kane with Weitzman handled negotiations for the restaurant. Beau Evans and Jennifer Rabon, with Realty 1 Partners, self-represented the landlord. “My dad’s vision includes two fundamental principles: treat your guests like family, and serve them fresh seafood from local fishermen,” Brittney Aplin said. “The Captain Brad’s team is excited to bring his vision to Tomball.”
