BlueCrew Joins Long Line of Tech Firms in Chicago
San Francisco-based no more, on-demand staffing platform BlueCrew cut the ribbon Thursday on its new headquarters at Vornado Realty Trust’s theMart. It’s the latest in an increasingly long line of tech firms that have either grown their Chicago presence or relocated here since 2011.
“With its booming technology and innovation economy, Chicago continues to attract top tech companies and talent from around the world,” said Andrea Zopp, president and CEO of World Business Chicago. “We are thrilled to welcome BlueCrew into our thriving tech ecosystem, and look forward to watching them grow.”
From the city’s average of 334 digital start-ups launched annually, to expansion announcements from major tech companies such as Salesforce and Facebook, tech remains Chicago’s fastest-growing industry sector.
BlueCrew’s announcement follows recent HQ relocation and expansion announcements by Google, DocuSign and Tegus. Tegus, a financial tech company, also relocated its headquarters from San Francisco to Chicago this month.
