Blue Water Acquires “Park of the Year” Campground, Donates $150K to Homeless Program
Ocean City, MD-based Blue Water has expanded its partnership with Sun Outdoors with the acquisition of Tall Pines Harbor Campground in Temperanceville, VA. The property, recognized as the ARVC National Park of the Year in 2018, features nearly 300 sites with a mixture of cabins, safari tents, RV sites and tent sites.
Tall Pines Harbor joins recent Blue Water acquisitions in TX and FL. According to the company, it is actively seeking to add more managed properties, owned assets, and new developments to its portfolio.
In unrelated company news, Blue Water has gifted $150,000 to Diakonia of Ocean City, MD. The organization has been serving Worcester County for almost 50 years by providing assistance for homeless individuals, families and veterans in Ocean City, Berlin, and the Lower Eastern Shore. In what began as one house and four cottages, Diakonia now has two buildings with 50 beds for providing shelter, food, clothing and program services
