Blue Water Acquires Lazy Lakes RV Resort in Key West

Blue Water Development has purchased Lazy Lakes RV Resort in Key West, FL, in partnership with Sun Outdoors. Financials were not disclosed.

“Key West is a high-barrier-to-entry market, so when this unique property became available, there was no question that we had to buy it,” said Todd Burbage, Blue Water’s CEO.  The company plans upgrade the waterfront parcel to a luxury RV and glamping resort with 95 campsites and a mixture of RV sites and cottages.

A seven-acre lake surrounds the property’s signature peninsula, which will have a community fire feature, water sports rentals, and inflatable amenities, and more. An over-water walkway around the lake and an enhanced pool area are also in the plans for the renamed Sun Outdoors Sugarloaf Keys.

The property is Blue Water’s first campground and second property in FL, joining its Comfort Inn & Suites Daytona Beach Oceanfront.
