BLT Enterprises Acquires One of Hollywood’s Crown Jewels

Santa Monica-based BLT Enterprises acquired Television Center, a nearly 200,000 square-foot creative office and production campus in Hollywood for $64 million. The seller was an unnamed private partnership.

This ‘crown jewel’ property situated on 6.4 acres on Romaine Street is steeped in Hollywood tradition. It was the original headquarters of Technicolor, and the studio lot for the silent film giant, Metro Pictures, the forerunner of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

BLT Enterprises’ Bernard Huberman says, “This was a once-in-a-generation opportunity to acquire an asset of this scale in the Hollywood Media District, which is undergoing a renaissance with the convergence of media and technology companies.”

Lee & Associates’ Brad McCoy, Dave Wilson and Aaron Wilder represented the buyer.

The acquisition boosts BLT’s Hollywood portfolio to more than 250,000 square feet of office, production and studio space.
