Blackstone Close to Expanding Midtown HQ to Over 1M SF
Blackstone is finalizing a deal to expand its headquarters at Rudin’s 345 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The expansion would increase Blackstone’s office space to 1.06 million square feet.
Blackstone has been based at 345 Park Avenue for over 30 years, initially occupying 70,000 square feet across two floors. The last expansion in 2021 added an additional 80,000 square feet. With this expansion, Blackstone’s footprint in the 1.9 million-square-foot tower would increase from 42% to 55%, encompassing 28 of the building’s 44 floors. The deal, among the largest in Manhattan in recent years, includes amenities like a new fitness center for employees.
Blackstone also added 200,000 square feet to its Midtown office at 601 Lexington Ave. in 2022. The firm is considering anchoring a new office tower, similar to JPMorgan Chase’s under-construction supertall at 270 Park Ave. or Citadel’s deal at 350 Park Ave.
