Blackstone Sub Pondering 500-Unit Austin Residential Project

Blackstone affiliate Link Logistics Real Estate Management is behind a project seeking to build a 500-unit residential complex off Braker Lane east of The Domain. The project would include structured parking and about 5,000 square feet of retail space. The Austin Business Journal reports it’s not clear if the applicant is planning to build apartments or condos.

The property is zoned for limited industrial use, but developers are requesting a planned development area overlay to include multifamily and retail uses.

An existing building at the site would need to be demolished prior to construction. Built in 1985, the one-story structure consists of 85,000 square feet and is part of an office and warehouse complex.
