Blackstone Shells Out $70M-Plus for H-E-B Center

Blackstone acquired the H-E-B-anchored Shops at Lincoln Heights retail center in San Antonio. The New York buyer, operating under the name BPP Lincoln Heights, acquired the 22.5-acre center from Swedish pension manager seller Alecta reportedly paid more than $70 million for the asset.

The shopping enter buy was part of a $1.8 billion acquisition of 48 of Alecta’s office and retail properties throughout the United States The seller had owned Shops at Lincoln Heights, at 999 E. Basse Rd., since 2002.

The center, which came online in 1987, is home to tenants including Panera Bread, Torchy’s Tacos, Stone Werks Big Rock Grille, Stein Mart and Zoe’s Kitchen.
