Blackstone, Boston Properties Sell Metropolitan Square for $305M 

Metropolitan Square, a landmark office building in downtown Washington, D.C., has been sold in a $305 million transaction. Reported on Washington Business Journal.  

Chevy Chase-based Artemis Real Estate Partners acquired the 654,000-square-foot building from Blackstone and Boston Properties. The 12-story building is located a block from the White House and is one of the largest Class A office buildings in Washington, D.C.  

The building underwent a $60 million renovation from 2017 to 2020 to improve amenities and occupancy rates after the departure of some tenants. The building’s full-service asking rent is $79 per square foot.
