Blackstone Alumnus Michael Nash Joins Gilbane Board

Providence, RI-based Gilbane, Inc., parent entity of Gilbane Building Company and Gilbane Development Company, announced that Michael Nash has joined its board of directors. Recently retired from his role as co-founder and chairman of Blackstone’s real estate credit investment business, Nash brings a wealth of experience and strategic vision to this role.

“Mike Nash’s extensive experience in the real estate investment arena will significantly enhance our board as Gilbane continues to grow within the development and construction markets,” said Thomas F. Gilbane, Jr., chairman of Gilbane, Inc. “His deep understanding of market dynamics and his ability to identify and capitalize on emerging trends will significantly enhance our strategic initiatives. We are excited to leverage Mike’s expertise to expand and innovate our business.”

At Blackstone, Nash was a member of the real estate, equity and debt investment committees. He co-founded Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS), the firm’s real estate credit investment business, in 2007 and served as its chairman since 2016.
