Blackstone Adds to Charlotte-Area Industrial Portfolio

Blackstone Inc. (NYSE: BX) acquired a 168,480-square-foot building in Huntersville for $24 million. The Charlotte Business Journal reports the building, which is leased by Big Beverages Contract Manufacturing, was sold by Cabot Properties, who paid $16.4 million for the property in 2020. Cabot bought the building from Scannell Properties, its original developer. The building, at 11920 Vanstory Drive, delivered in 2019.

The building acquired by Blackstone is within the larger Park-Huntersville development.

Blackstone’s Link Logistics portfolio company recently paid $49.5 million for Charlotte Intermodal Logistics Center near Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Earlier this year, Link acquired Crossroads Distribution Center in southwest Charlotte for more than $81 million. It has also developed its own projects in Mooresville and Charlotte.
