Black Rock Coffee Bar Plants Flag in Texas with Three Austin Locations

Black Rock Coffee Bar, headquartered in Portland, OR, is expanding to the Lone Star State. The first three Texas locations to open will be in the Austin area. Jon Switzer with JLL represented Black Rock Coffee Bar in the following lease negotiations.

• A 1,900-square-foot store at William Cannon and Southwest Parkway in Austin. Planned opening is November 2019.

• An 1,887-square-foot store at Gattis School and SH 130 in Pflugerville. Planned opening is January 2020.

• A 1,900-square-foot store on FM 620 and Smyers Lane at the Point at 620 in Round Rock. Planned opening is summer 2020.

“These locations were selected in part to each area’s projected growth, providing them the greatest opportunity to serve the fastest growing neighborhoods in Austin,” Switzer said.

Black Rock operates 65 company-owned and franchise stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon and Washington, and is planning a Texas rollout. The company offers specialty coffee drinks and locally-sourced menu items.
