Black Creek Returns to Chicago Metro with Trio of Spec Warehouses

Connect Industrial is coming up on July 11 in Chicago. Here’s a link for more information about the conference and to register.

Denver-based Black Creek Group is expanding its Chicago-area presence with a trio of speculative industrial properties totaling about 379,000 square feet. Two of them, in Mt. Prospect and Bensenville, IL, are within the O’Hare submarket, while a third is in Naperville. All three are slated for completion in the first quarter of 2019.

“As an inland port with high population density and an established industrial real estate market, Chicago is a core geographic target for us,” said Marty Edmondson, SVP and North Central market officer at Black Creek. “As for these three properties, they’re examples of our strategy for creating highly-optimized industrial spaces in relatively developed areas.”

CBRE will market the two O’Hare properties for Black Creek, while NAI Hiffman will handle leasing on the Naperville facility. Separately, Podolsky Circle Construction said it would serve as development manager on the Naperville distribution center (pictured).
