Black Creek Adds to Chicago-Area Industrial Holdings

Denver-based Black Creek Group has added to its Chicago-area industrial portfolio with three new acquisitions. They include 2770 Alft Ct. in Elgin (pictured), 1881 Normantown Rd. in Romeoville, and 351-355 Hastings Dr. in Buffalo Grove.

Deal terms weren’t disclosed. Each of the newly-acquired properties is fully-leased and located near major traffic arteries.

“Chicago is a core market for Black Creek Group,” said Marty Edmondson, SVP of Black Creek’s North Central Region. “Through both our recent acquisitions and our ongoing development activity, we have continually worked to strengthen our presence in key Chicago submarkets and look forward to expanding on this momentum.”

As of this past Dec. 31, Black Creek’s Greater Chicago industrial holdings totaled 4.9 million square feet, including three buildings under development. The company acquired a pair of Class A industrial assets, totaling 386,000 square feet and located in the I-90 Corridor and DuPage submarkets, in December.
