Biotech Startup Signs First Lease at Seaport District Conversion Project

CBRE represented life science developer Phase 3 Real Estate Partners, Inc. in the first lease at GENESIS 12 Farnsworth, a brick-and-beam conversion project located in Boston’s Seaport District. CytoTronics, a semiconductor-based platform for cell biology research, has expanded into a 14,000-square-foot space to support its continued growth.

“As a high-growth startup, it was essential for us to secure a flexible space near the Innovation District, a thriving hub for Boston’s leading tech and biotech companies,” said Jeffrey Abbott, co-founder and CEO of CytoTronics. “This new location supports our expansion with the necessary lab, office and manufacturing facilities while also providing an environment that will help us attract and retain top talent.”

Located at 12 Farnsworth St., GENESIS 12 Farnsworth is one of 10 GENESIS properties in and around Boston. The San Diego-based Phase 3 also owns and operates GENESIS properties in San Diego and the Bay Area.
