Biotech Firms Take 75K SF in East Bay

A pair of companies signed leases totaling 75,000 square feet of space at Wareham Development’s EmeryStation West in Emeryville, CA and Aquatic Park Center campus in West Berkeley, CA. Dynavax Technologies, Inc. took 41,000 square feet of HQ space at a new 75,000-square-foot office and laboratory at EmeryStation West, where it will relocate in late Q2 2019.

Caribou Biosciences, Inc. plans to expand into an additional 23,500 square feet of space vacated by Dynavax at 2929 Seventh St., where it is headquartered within Wareham’s Aquatic Park Center campus in West Berkeley, and will occupy roughly 50,000 square feet.

Wareham’s Geoffrey B. Sears says, “We are thrilled about the growth of Dynavax and the supporting part we can play in it. We are delighted to welcome their team to EmeryStation West.”

Savills Studley’s Scott Stone of Cresa and Mark Moser represented Dynavax. Kidder Mathews’ Timothy Mason, James Bennett and Eric Bluestein represented the landlord.
