$60M RV resort coming to Golden, CO

Biker Bar Owner Planning Denver-Area RV Resort

The owners of Dirty Dogs Roadhouse in Golden are planning a $60 million RV community called Westside Resort. The 36 acres property is just north of the off-road racing park called Thunder Valley Park. The resort will serve as a base camp for outdoor enthusiasts to take day trips into the mountains.

The Denver Business Journal reports The Dirty Dogs owners want to build 256 RV suites with full hookups for water, sewer, electric and cable. Some of the suites will have covered outdoor kitchens as well. The owners plan to build permanent casitas — or rental cabins — on some of the sites approximately 400 to 500 square feet in size. They will have their own kitchens and bedrooms for visitors. In addition, Westside Resort will include an approximately 25,000-square-foot clubhouse with restaurant, retail, event and business conference space. Amenities for guests will include hot tubs, fire pits and open space for recreation.

The owners hope to break ground in the next six to eight months.
