Big V Scoops Up Alamo Ranch in San Antonio
Alamo Ranch, a 464,722-square-foot open-air shopping center in San Antonio, recently sold to Big V Property Group for an undisclosed purchase price. The retail center is located at 5347-5619 West Loop 1604.
Margaret Jones, Lane Breedlove, Chris Harden and Kris Von Hohn of Cushman & Wakefield facilitated the transaction.
“Alamo Ranch is the dominant shopping center with a best-in-class tenant roster in a quickly growing trade area, making it an excellent acquisition,” says Jones. “Tenant performance at Alamo Ranch validates the strong rebound of retail in 2021.”
The property includes a big-box tenant lineup including Best Buy, Dick’s, Ross, Marshalls, Michael’s, Ulta, PetSmart and OfficeMax, and is shadow-anchored by Super Target, Lowe’s and JCPenney.
“Alamo Ranch adds a dominant and highly complementary center to Big V’s expanding Texas portfolio,” Breedlove said. “Retail in the Sunbelt continues to rapidly recover from uncertainty caused by the pandemic. Customers have returned to stores and restaurants, further proving the consumer’s demand for physical retail.”
