Big Prize for Giant Kearny Point Redevelopment

The massive redevelopment of the shipbuilding complex at Kearny Point, NJ won one of eight 2017 Smart Growth Awards, given by New Jersey Future.
Kearny Point will eventually total three million square feet. The flexible office space at Building 78, the first phase, is already home to nearly 100 companies ranging from craft-food artisans to tech trendsetters and filmmakers. There’s also a 5,000-square-foot roof deck (pictured) and a 3,000-square-foot indoor event space, managed by JPO Concepts.
Developer Hugo Neu Corp. also plans office space for larger companies in its second phase, Building 100, marketed by Cushman & Wakefield.
