Bexar County Lists Top Property Taxpayers

The Bexar County Appraisal District has released its list of the county’s top 2016 property taxpayers, based on market and taxable values.

Grocer H-E-B led the rankings, with a taxable value of more than $1.35 billion. Wal-Mart followed in a distant second place, with a taxable value of nearly $680 million.

Other top contenders included Methodist Hospital, Baptist Hospital, USAA, Microsoft Corp., Shops At La Cantera and AT&T.
