Bexar County Commissioners agreed to a nearly $3 million, 10-year property tax break for Credit Human, to assist in its new, under-construction, 10-story headquarters at Pearl, near downtown San Antonio. Meanwhile, the San Antonio City Council will soon vote on an additional $5.9 million.

The 10-year abatement agreement with the county requires Credit Human to invest more than $112 million in capital improvements and create an additional 50 jobs.

The credit union, formerly known as the San Antonio Federal Credit Union, will be moving into Silver Venture’s new development at 1803 Broadway. That project will consist of two office towers, and will cost an estimated $112.5 million. Credit Human employs more than 1,100 workers, and the Broadway headquarters will consolidate the company’s north and west side operations. The current headquarters building is at 6061 W. Interstate 10.
