Beverly Hillbillies Mansion Asks $350M

Remember the fancy house from the “Beverly Hillbillies?” The “Chartwell” mansion in Beverly Hills, CA that appeared in the credits for the nine-season, 1960s television show is for sale.

At $350 million, it’s the most expensive listing for a single-family home in the U.S.

That’s $100 million more than the asking price of Chartwell’s closest competition: a spec home, also in Beverly Hills. Chartwell is a 25,000-square-foot mansion built in 1933 with its own ballroom, a formal solan and a “world class” wine cellar. The 10.3-acre grounds include a 75-foot swimming pool, a tennis court and views of both the Pacific Ocean and downtown L.A.

The property is listed by Hilton & Hyland, Coldwell Banker Global Luxury and Berkshire Hathaway Home Services.
