Commercial real estate firm Ryan Companies has promoted Daniel Bertao to vice president of real estate development, and will be based out of the company’s San Diego office. In his new role, Bertao will be responsible for sourcing and executing new multifamily development opportunities in California.

“From top to bottom, Ryan Companies has demonstrated a commitment to grow its multifamily development pipeline in California,” said Bertao in a news release. “I am grateful for this promotion and look forward to playing a key role in this growth. The industry faces some headwinds, but Ryan Companies is well positioned to take advantage of the opportunities that will arise.”

Bertao is a member of the Building Industry Association of San Diego and is a licensed broker and architect. He earned his master’s degree in Real Estate Development from USC and his Bachelor of Architecture of the University of Notre Dame.
