Berkshire Residential Sells 12-Property Southeast MF Portfolio

Berkshire Residential Investments sold a 12-property multifamily portfolio totaling 3,904 units in six major U.S. metros. The sales price was undisclosed. The properties are located in Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas and Houston.

The portfolio features a mix of core, core-plus and value-add assets. Units average 922 square feet, with an average completion date of 2010. Four of the properties also include a retail component.

Matthew Lawton, Roberto Casas, Sean Deasy, Todd Marix, Bill Miller, Chris Curry, Jeff Glenn, Justin Good, Blake Rogers and Allan Lynch of JLL represented Berkshire in the transaction. The buyer was a Canadian institutional investor. The deal was secured by HFF, prior to being acquired by JLL.
