Berkshire Adds to Houston Collection, Nabs 276-Unit Vargos on the Lake

Berkshire Residential Investments added to its large Houston portfolio by acquiring the 276-unit Vargos on the Lake in the city’s Piney Point Village area. The Georgia-based buyer acquired the four-year-old property from local seller Hunington Properties Inc., which also developed the asset on the site of the former Vargos Restaurant.

Situated on 8.6 acres at 2411 Fondren Rd., just west of the Galleria submarket, Vargos on the Lake features  one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as townhomes. Amenities include a conference center, dog park, media lounge with billiards, cyber lounge, clubhouse, resort-style pool and a fitness center.

“Vargos on the Lake gives Berkshire the opportunity to add value to the property,” Berkshire Residential’s Greg Collins said.
