Berkadia Taps Johnathan Smith as Senior Director of Affordable Housing Platform

Berkadia has announced the hiring of Johnathan Smith as senior director for the firm’s Affordable Housing platform in D.C. Smith joins the group’s investment sales team.

Smith has been involved in the sale of over 300 multifamily assets amounting to more than 37,000 units with a total real estate value exceeding $3 billion. Prior to joining Berkadia, Smith served as SVP of CBRE Affordable Housing for nearly ten years. In this role, Johnathan facilitated the valuation and sale of affordable properties nationwide. His expertise includes the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program as well as numerous Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs.
