Berkadia Hires Carter Wood as Director in Richmond

Berkadia has hired Carter Wood as director in the firm’s Richmond office. Wood will be splitting time between Berkadia’s Newport News and Richmond offices, covering southern Virginia, alongside Senior Managing Director Drew White.

Wood will also be working closely with Senior Directors David Hudgins and Alan Meetze of the Newport News office. He will report to SVP and Head of Investment Sales Keith Misner. Wood joins Berkadia from NKF, where he served as a multifamily investment sales associate. During his time there, Wood advised institutional and middle market clients in the Mid-Atlantic region.

“We’re in a unique time in the commercial real estate market, as we adjust to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and work to understand what the future holds for commercial real estate in the short term,” said Misner.

“However, at Berkadia, we pride ourselves on taking the long view and with that in mind, we’re eager to add the best talent to our team for the long run. With Carter joining our Virginia team, we’re better equipped to advise and support clients in the Mid-Atlantic region, now and in the future.”
