Berkadia Facilitates Sale of 110-Unit KC Multifamily Property
Berkadia has completed the sale of The Locarno, a 110-unit, urban core, high-rise multifamily property in Kansas City, Missouri.
Senior Director Michael Spero, Director Niko Vrentas, and Associate Director Simon Rodewald of Berkadia Kansas City led the transaction on behalf of the seller, Locarno Partners, LLC. The Locarno was sold to ELKCO Properties, a joint venture with Leale Capital, both of which are based in Denver, Colorado.
“Combining one of Kansas City’s top urban core locations with the new strategy for growth and development at the Country Club Plaza, the future for The Locarno is shining bright,” said Spero. “ELKCO Properties and Leale Capital bring an exciting vision to The Locarno, including a strategy that will carefully maintain the historic charm of the property.”
Located at 235 Ward Pkwy, the property affords convenient access to a wide variety of popular area shopping and dining, a multitude of major Metro employers, several area universities and close proximity to Downtown Kansas City.
