Berkadia Arranges $86M Refinancing for Alexandria Apartments

Berkadia has secured an $86 million loan to refinance Meridian at Braddock Station, a 480-unit high-rise multifamily property located in Alexandria, VA.

Located at 1200 First St., Meridian at Braddock Station offers studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans with recently renovated units featuring wood plank flooring, quartz counter tops, stainless steel appliances and Nest thermostats. Community amenities include a rooftop terrace with a swimming pool and sundeck, penthouse club room with billiards, a fully-equipped fitness center and a courtyard lounge with barbecue grills, firepit, bocce court and dog park.

J. Tyler Blue, Paul Wallace, Robbie Driscoll and Pat Cunningham of Berkadia’s DC Metro office secured the financing on behalf of the undisclosed borrower. A major national life company provided the borrower with a 10-year interest-only loan.
