Berenberg Capital Doubles Footprint with 1251 A of A Renewal

Berenberg renewed its lease for 31,700 square feet on the entire 53rd floor and expanded by 30,700 square feet on the entire 52nd floor, with each floor offering virtually column-free floorplates, outstanding light and expansive views.

The tenant was represented by JLL vice chairmen Mitchell Konsker and Alexander Chudnoff and managing director Benjamin Bass. Property owner Mitsui Fudosan America was represented by David Falk, principal and president, New York tri-state region, and Peter Shimkin, vice chairman, with Newmark.

“This transaction positions Berenberg Capital Markets in the heart of Midtown to continue to expand its New York presence,” Konsker said. “It’s an opportune time for the company to secure long-term space that facilitates its operations and growth.”
