Waltham, MA-based Benchmark Senior Living has topped out its assisted living and memory care community in Alexandria, VA’s lifestyle destination “West Alex.”

Davis Construction reached the tenth floor of Benchmark at Alexandra and finished its superstructure with a ceremonial flourish.

Benchmark at Alexandria will feature 89 assisted living and 26 memory care apartments in various floor plans and will offer 24/7, personalized care for those who need it. Common areas will include club room, casual bistro, wine tasting suite, penthouse level café and rooftop deck for hosting social gatherings, educational events and programs. A wellness center will be home to on-site healthcare services.

The West Alex mixed-use development features 100,000 square feet of retail space, including a Harris Teeter grocery store and Silver Diner located steps from Benchmark at Alexandria.

Benchmark Senior Living’s portfolio includes 64 independent living, assisted living, memory care and continuing care communities located throughout the Northeast.
