Ben E. Keith Snags 89 Acres for Facility

Ben E. Keith Company acquired 89 acres in Selma, TX (Comal County) for a 510,000-square-foot distribution center. Construction will begin immediately on the facility, at Schertz Parkway and Lookout Road. The building is expected to deliver by fall 2018.

Ben E. Keith signed economic development agreements with Comal County and the city of Selma, which is north of San Antonio. The agreements stipulate that a total of 537 jobs would be created by 2025, with a minimum payroll of $38.5 million. The new, LEED-certified facility will include an automatic slotting and retrieval system, a modern test kitchen, and a training center.
