Bellwether Enterprise Secures $115M Acquisition Financing for Affordable Housing Portfolio in Southeast

Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital secured $115 million in financing for the acquisition of 12 affordable housing properties in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia and Florida. The properties, which include 1,776 homes, were acquired in three separate transactions by Atlantic Housing Foundation Inc.

The properties include Shemwood Crossing and Boulder Creek Apartments in Greenville, SC; James River Crossing in Lynchburg, VA; Gretna Village Apartments in Gretna, VA; Afton Gardens Apartments in Roanoke, VA; Crescent Hill Apartments in Spartanburg, SC; Spring Grove in Taylors, SC;  Timber Ridge Apartments in Charlotte, NC; Cedar Moor Apartments in Raleigh, NC; Brentwood Crossing in High Point, NC; Brittany Woods Apartments in Valdosta, GA and Temple Court in Miami.

Phil Melton of Bellwether secured financing on behalf of Atlantic Housing Foundation through a group of lenders that included Tilden Park Capital Management, the Virginia Housing Development Authority and Freddie Mac.
