Bellevue’s Marketplace at Factoria Set for Redevelopment

New York-based Kimco Realty Corp. is moving forward on an eight-phased plan to redevelop the nearly 526,000-square-foot Marketplace at Factoria mall in Bellevue. The city approved a master plan for the 43-acre site that will see the addition of housing units, a hotel and office space.

The site, which sits on the south side of Interstate 90 near the I-405 interchange, would be expanded with a mix of uses including up to 685 apartment units, a 150-room hotel, two office buildings totaling 175,000 square feet and roughly 30% more retail space.

An open-air shopping connection will traverse through the existing mall, while three major plazas will be added. Several anchor tenants will be relocated to accommodate the redevelopment. The initial phase will encompass a five-story, 295-unit, market-rate apartment building with new retail at the northwest corner of the mall.
