Bell Partners Buys Alexandria Apartment Community

Bell Partners recently acquired The Thornton, a 439-unit apartment complex in Alexandria, VA, renaming it Bell Old Town. The price was not disclosed.

“Bell Old Town is our second acquisition for Value-Add Fund VIII and is another example of our ability to leverage a broad presence in our target markets to acquire a well-located, quality asset with careful underwriting and a disciplined approach to risk management,” said Nickolay Bochilo, EVP of Investments at Bell Partners.

Built in 2018, Bell Old Town offers studios and one-, two-, and two-plus-den-bedroom floor plans, alongside amenities like a dog grooming spa, fitness center, clubroom, and a courtyard with a bocce court and grilling area. This acquisition expands Bell Partners’ DC-Maryland-Virginia portfolio to 22 communities, totaling over 7,300 apartment homes.
