Bedrock, Tech Leaders Debut Urban Tech Xchange Detroit Hub
Bedrock, Bosch, Cisco, and KODE Labs have introduced the Urban Tech Xchange (UTX), an innovative physical ecosystem for startups and technology providers to conceive, develop, and implement projects within a fully operational and real-world environment.
The UTX brings together the resources of global technology giants, such as Bosch and Cisco, along with the smart building expertise of KODE Labs, as well as data from over 19 million square feet of urban real estate from Bedrock.
“The UTX will be hugely impactful asset to Detroit’s community of founders and startups. It’s exactly the kind of partnership that will drive the kind of innovation that solves problems and unlocks opportunities for Detroiters,” said Mike Duggan, Mayor of Detroit.
Modeled after the Detroit Smart Parking Lab, a partnership between Bedrock, Bosch, Ford, and the State of Michigan, UTX is designed to be dynamic and agile. It provides a platform for startups to experiment with and showcase solutions.
