Becovic Residential Expands Edgewater Portfolio

Becovic Residential, a Chicago-based multifamily owner and operator, has added a 55-unit multifamily building to its Northside portfolio. The Windale, located at 6019 N. Winthrop Avenue in Chicago, sold for $6.8 million.

Becovic was represented by Joe Smazal from Interra Realty and the sale was financed by JP Morgan Chase Bank with Scott Kalkofen. Becovic Management Group will be managing the property.

“We’re excited to add such a beautifully historic property to our community offerings, particularly in the gorgeous Edgewater Beach neighborhood,” says Becovic’s President, Sal Becovic.

The Windale and its 52 units have been renovated with meticulous attention to detail, and building amenities include a lobby, a collection of curated photography, and a pet run. Located only a few minutes from Lake Shore Drive and the Thorndale CTA Red Line train station, the property is close to Loyola University, parks, beaches, shops, and restaurants along Broadway Avenue.
