Beaumont Calls For Unique Solutions for Downtown Redevelopment

The City of Beaumont is offering the right developer an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of the region’s most desirable property: downtown Beaumont’s Riverfront.

A 2.701-acre riverfront lot, the city is interested in receiving proposals from developers that have the financial resources and vision to create unique additions to the heart of downtown Beaumont. The city is specifically looking for a proven developer to acquire the building to utilize it for uses such as a hotel, residential, and/or restaurant and retail that will generate more foot traffic, economic development and connection to the river.

The city is investing over $25 million dollars into the downtown riverfront development area. The city is able to offer tax incentives and fee waivers to qualified projects that encourage creative development.

Proposals will be evaluated equally based on the best use case that aligns with the City’s future vision for downtown. The project must begin construction within 12 months of close of the sale and be complete within 36 months of the sale.
