BearingPoint Relocates U.S. Hub to Vornado’s The Mart

Savills arranged a relocation and expansion for a new client, BearingPoint. The fast-growing independent management and technology consultancy firm moved to a nearly 12,000-square-foot full floor at Vornado Realty Trust’s The Mart in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.

BearingPoint is headquartered in Europe and has invested heavily in its international expansion, including Chicago, its US hub. The firm needed to grow its footprint to accommodate an increased headcount and tapped Savills’ Connor Kerr and Stephen Scott to find a solution in the River North submarket, where BearingPoint sought to remain.

“BearingPoint has grown its practice globally, and the firm planned a relocation for its Chicago hub that would provide an updated workspace and an energizing environment for its expanding workforce,” said Kerr. “The opportunity at The Mart was the ideal solution as the space was completely built out, minimizing significant capital spend, and allowed the firm to move in almost immediately.”
