BEAR Construction Completes New Boys & Girls Club Location

BEAR Construction recently completed the first newly built Boys & Girls Club of Chicago in a generation, located on Chicago’s West Side. The Rusu-McCartin Boys & Girls Club will serve thousands of kids with high-quality programming and be a reliable community resource for generations.

Construction began on the 23,000-square-foot building in May of 2022. The complex project features a number of impressive amenities, including ample gym space, educational programming space, a maker’s space for creative exploration, and an NBA-sized basketball court.

Dennis Hill, Senior Vice President of BEAR Construction, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “We pride ourselves on building unique and critical community amenities. This new development here on Chicago’s West Side is an important community investment, and one that we were proud to be involved in bringing to life.” BEAR Construction leveraged 55,000 human hours to build the project, creating about 150 jobs on-site for the construction process.
