Be Electric Studios Chooses Crown Heights for Its 11th NYC Facility

Be Electric Studios, a Level 2 Qualified Production Facility film studio and media production company, is partnering with LIVWRK and Meadow Partners to operate a film production studio and soundstage location at 1000 Dean St. in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood. Scheduled to open Nov. 1, the Be Electric facility will take over an existing 10,600-square-foot studio space.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Rich Novak and Raise Commercial Real Estate’s Doug Regal represented the tenant and Cushman & Wakefield’s Remy Liebersohn and Joseph Cirone handled the transaction for the landlord.

Together with its existing stages throughout New York, 1000 Dean St. marks Be Electric’s 11th studio space and brings its total New York City footprint to roughly 65,000 square feet.

Built during the 1920s as an automotive service station for Dodge, Plymouth, and later Studebaker vehicles, 1000 Dean St. is an historic 150,000-square-foot commercial building that LIVWRK purchased in 2019.
